Courtesy Hotels Pvt Ltd is an Indian Company incorporated in 1989 having its registered office at B 701 Kohinoor Square, N C Kelkar rd., Shivaji Park Dadar West Mumbai 400028. The company is into the business of owning, developing and managing hotels and resorts. The company is currently owning and managing its flagship property at Ganpatipule viz. Westbay Resort and Spa.
The Company purchased a land parcel of 8 acres in Ganpatipule which is a coastal village in the Konkan region of Maharashtra and started the construction of its resort in 1989. After its completion in 1991 the company commenced its business under the trade name of Abhishek Beach Resort with 24 rooms and a Multicuisine Restaurant.
The initial promoters of the company were Mr. Deepak Jatkar and Mrs. Anjali Jatkar. Due to heavy interest rates and competition from other resorts in Ganpatipule, the company suffered heavy losses from 2000 to 2006. The condition of the resort deteriorated during this period. Due to non-availability of funds and increasing liabilities there were no repairs and renovations in the resort and thus the resort became derelict.
New Inductee
Mr. Prasad Tendolkar and Mrs. Ruchika Tendolkar were inducted as the new Directors in the company. Mr. Prasad Tendolkar was also made the Managing Director of the company.

New pool and renovation
The resort re-renovated 36 of the existing 52 rooms and constructed an infinity swimming pool and a separate games room and gymnasium.
New Restaurant and Brand Name
Resort made major change to the existing restaurant and renamed it as Waterfront Café. It also changed the existing trade name from Abhishek Beach Resort and Spa to Westbay Resort and Spa.
Since 2006 the resort has seen significant improvements. Mrs. Prasad Tendolkar infused a lot of capital in the resort and by the end of 2007 renovated all the existing rooms in the resort.
- In 2008 the resort renovated the top floor on the lodging building and increased the keys to 28
- In 2009 the resort took over a villa in the resort premises and thus increased the keys to 32.
- In 2010 the resort opened its new bar On the Rocks.
- In 2011 the resort acquired another villa and increased the room count to 36.
- In 2012 the resort constructed a new building attached to the restaurant building thus increasing the kitchen capacity. The new building also had 2 more rooms, a banquet hall and round table conference hall.
- In 2013 the resort renovated its Reception Lobby, Accounts office, Manager cabin and gift shop
- In 2014 the resort acquired another villa taking the room count to 40 rooms.
- In 2015 the company constructed one more building attached to the lodging building and opened its new Spa. The building also had a Games room and Gymnasium and 4 more rooms thus taking the key count to 44. The resort updated its name to Abhishek Beach Resort and Spa.
- In 2016 the resort acquired one more villa taking the key count to 48.
- In 2017 the resort acquired one more villa taking the key count to 52.
- In 2018 the resort re-renovated 36 of the existing 52 rooms and constructed an infinity swimming pool and a separate games room and gymnasium. The existing games room was used to increase the house keeping storage and staff accommodation.
- In 2019 the company constructed an elevator for the lodging building and made major changes to the landscaping and car parking lot.
- In 2020 the resort suffered a minor set back due to covid restrictions but made major changes to the landscaping.
- In 2021 the resort made a beautiful lawn to host destination weddings and other functions.
- In 2022 the resort made major renovations to the existing restaurant and renamed it as Waterfront Café. It also changed the existing trade name from Abhishek Beach Resort and Spa to Westbay Resort and Spa.
